Topping Out: A New Milestone for Casas na Quinta

Construction at Casas na Quinta continues to progress at a steady pace, reaching one of the most symbolic milestones in the building process: the topping out ceremony. This long-standing construction tradition marks the completion of a building’s main structure and the moment it reaches its highest point.

To mark the occasion, clients, partners and members of the team who have followed the project from the very beginning gathered at Casas na Quinta. It was a moment of celebration, but also an opportunity to recognise the work carried out over the past few months and the dedication of all the professionals involved in bringing the project to life.

The topping out ceremony is a tradition with deep historical roots in the construction industry. It symbolises the completion of a building’s main structure, marking the transition to a new phase of construction. The name originates from the symbolic placing of a branch or tree at the highest point of the building.

At Casas na Quinta, this milestone holds particular significance. With the structural phase now complete, work will continue with the same rigour and attention to detail that have characterised the project from day one. Every step brings us closer to delivering something truly distinctive in the heart of Lisbon: a collection of just 13 houses, each with its own garden and swimming pool, designed to be enjoyed for many years to come.

Seeing the structure rise and reach its highest point offers a first glimpse of what will soon become part of Alvalade’s streetscape. A place designed to become part of the neighbourhood while respecting the identity of one of the city’s most iconic areas.

The topping out ceremony marks the end of an important stage, but also the beginning of the next chapter in the project.
